Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Fragleses booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Wiktor Gomolka came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Fragleses fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wiktor Gomolka couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, Lautaro Mancebo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Facundo Cadaval kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Xavier Seco's late challenge caught a Fragleses's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
