Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Faustino Montez's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Cebo in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Cebo in the 10th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaudencio Bermudez scored 0-2 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 17 minutes into the match, Legacy Youth Academy's goalkeeper Lisandro Rameriz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aaron Alcocer. The supporters of Legacy Youth Academy booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 22 played minutes, Legacy Youth Academy's Gaudencio Bermudez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Legacy Youth Academy reached it. Reynaldo Cebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Cebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Legacy Youth Academy getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Erubiel Gotzon hit a great ball. Aaron Alcocer's late challenge caught a Legacy Youth Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Alcocer helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 38th match minute, Legacy Youth Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonatan Marin to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Cebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Legacy Youth Academy were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reynaldo Cebo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Juan Rubio fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Juan Rubio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 50th minute. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Wilfredo Oliveiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Cebo in the 60th minute of the match. After 62 minutes Costa Rica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gaudencio Bermudez who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Legacy Youth Academy's corner Wilfredo Oliveiro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Benito Sanz quite easily take care of the ball. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Faustino Montez in the 68th minute. After 69 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. After recieving a nice pass, Legacy Youth Academy's Gaudencio Bermudez tried to score from far away in the 70th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Cebo in the 76th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute Gaudencio Bermudez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Cebo in the 86th minute of play. In the 89th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Gaudencio Bermudez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Aaron Alcocer hit a great ball.
