After 5 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Domonkos Sörös was left in no man's land by his defense there! József Pál scored 1-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Domonkos Sörös made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by 12 Angry Men's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Luis Andino to fire away a dangerous shot which Domonkos Sörös despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Domonkos Sörös showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrik Szántó, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute of the match 12 Angry Men got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lóránd Szarka ran over to the corner to take the kick. József Pál could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. 33 minutes into the match, Lóránd Szarka dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 2-1. When Patrik Szántó came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the 12 Angry Men fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrik Szántó couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

51 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when József Pál came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domonkos Sörös showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 52nd minute of the match. Lóránd Szarka scored 3-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lóránd Szarka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet.
