Spectators: 51 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Sliema Dragons FC's Robert Pullicino started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Felix Montenegro took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kyle Axisa. Kyle Axisa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Kyle Axisa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 15th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kyle Axisa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kyle Axisa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Kyle Axisa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Daniel Zorita scored 0-4 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kyle Axisa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Kyle Axisa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, Sliema Dragons FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Colin Pullicino Orlando to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 32nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kyle Axisa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of play forced Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper Kyle Axisa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute. After 39th play minutes Daniel Zorita shot 0-6, a short shot which went by Kyle Axisa and just under the crossbar into goal. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Kyle Axisa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kyle Axisa came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 55th minute. Kyle Axisa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Sliema Dragons FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neil Deguara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kyle Axisa. The goal made the score 0-8. After 70 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kyle Axisa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Sliema Dragons FC defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kyle Axisa. The Sliema Dragons FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kyle Axisa should have stopped the shot. After 80 played minutes Sliema Dragons FC got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Facciol. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kyle Axisa. That made the score 0-12 in the 85 minute of play. Daniel Zorita succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-13 in the 89th playminute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kyle Axisa having to make a save.
