Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikolas Kafkalas in the 2nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of play forced FC GURZUN's goalkeeper Sérgio Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sérgio Vargas was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 12th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nikolas Kafkalas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Sérgio Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Sérgio Vargas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Nae Hurmuzache sent off a good shot on target. Sérgio Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 35 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sérgio Vargas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 44 played minutes FC GURZUN got a freekick which was hit by Nae Hurmuzache. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Vargas having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nikolas Kafkalas to strike the kick off in the second half. After 61 minutes, Joakim Andersson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC GURZUN and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC GURZUN getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Joakim Andersson hit a great ball. Sérgio Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nae Hurmuzache recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Sérgio Vargas in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julien Luarasi in the 71st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Nae Hurmuzache stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Nae Hurmuzache tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86thth minute of the game Nikolas Kafkalas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Sérgio Vargas made a huge save. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
