In the 8th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Björkdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emil Trulsson's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Björkdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emil Trulsson in the 22nd minute. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Emanuel Björkdahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Björkdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Emanuel Björkdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Björkdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Emil Trulsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 38 minutes into the match, IFK Gladdarna's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Emanuel Björkdahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. 43 minutes into the match, IFK Gladdarna's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Emanuel Björkdahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Emil Trulsson came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the IFK Gladdarna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emil Trulsson couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Trulsson in the 52nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Emil Trulsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The IFK Gladdarna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 57th minute, Emil Trulsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Björkdahl made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Agustín Saelices sent off a good shot on target. Niklas Lindfors hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, IFK Gladdarna's goalkeeper Emanuel Björkdahl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emil Trulsson in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 72 minutes into the match, IFK Gladdarna's goalkeeper Emanuel Björkdahl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. IFK Gladdarna's Emanuel Björkdahl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save IFK Gladdarna from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Emanuel Björkdahl in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Björkdahl having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Trulsson in the 95th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
