Emanuel Björkdahl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 7th minute of the match, Torbjörn Hägglund tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Lacasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Björkdahl came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Emil Trulsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Emanuel Björkdahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Björkdahl. IFK Gladdarna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 31 minutes into the match, IFK Gladdarna's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Emanuel Björkdahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, IFK Gladdarna's Dante Lacasa threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Torbjörn Hägglund, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Emanuel Björkdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 34th minute of play. Emanuel Björkdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo scored 0-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emanuel Björkdahl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when David Arenstedt sent off a good shot on target.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jakob Koch made a kick off. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torbjörn Hägglund in the 56th minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when IFK Gladdarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niklas Lindfors didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 62 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Niklas Lindfors who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on IFK Gladdarna's corner Niklas Lindfors fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. Emanuel Björkdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Emanuel Björkdahl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 66th minute. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Björkdahl made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd minute David Arenstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Björkdahl saved IFK Gladdarna from getting behind. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than IFK Gladdarna throughout the match.
