If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mustafa Ali Secaat was the one to do the kick off. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Caio Vasco came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the SS PhoNeiX F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caio Vasco couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when SS PhoNeiX F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Türker Koçak didn't get a good kick on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Nunez Valiente in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas. If Mustafa Ali Secaat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th match minute, SS PhoNeiX F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nunez Valiente to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Peyami Acaralp to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Peyami Acaralp in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peyami Acaralp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, SS PhoNeiX F.C's Mustafa Ali Secaat got a free kick in the 84th minute. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
