Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. 俞崇永 started the match with the kick off. Lautaro Puig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but 秦西岚 made a huge save. In the 4th minute of the match Costa Rica got a corner. Cunumbuqui FBC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Tasis ran over to the corner to take the kick. 7 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when 俞崇永 came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Puig's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 秦西岚 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Lautaro Puig notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Cunumbuqui FBC's 秦西岚. 秦西岚 was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 13 minutes, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yan Toledo hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Errolan Hernani made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 27 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. When 俞崇永 came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Cunumbuqui FBC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 俞崇永 couldn't finish the play. After 36 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. Salvatore Masa struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cunumbuqui FBC. After 40 minutes, Diego Jesco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cunumbuqui FBC and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Diego Jesco kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 秦西岚 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Efrain Moruga during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 48 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If 俞崇永 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrian Pelayo charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adrian Pelayo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Cunumbuqui FBC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Pelayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Cunumbuqui FBC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yan Toledo during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cunumbuqui FBC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Yan Toledo hit a great ball. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 俞崇永, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Tasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 秦西岚 having to interfere. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Tasis in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 秦西岚 saved Cunumbuqui FBC from getting behind. 86 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cunumbuqui FBC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Hugo Ferrant got a free kick in the 86th minute. 俞崇永 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Lautaro Puig fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Lautaro Puig a yellow card for diving instead. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Cunumbuqui FBC's Salvatore Masa got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cunumbuqui FBC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
