Alexandru Stroescu made in the 29th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Venancio Victoro. 35 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Vaqueteros FC's Javier Tono. Javier Tono was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 44th minute of play forced Vaqueteros FC's goalkeeper Javier Tono to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Konstanty Skoroda in the 53 minute of the game. In the 54th minute, Cai Wei Xu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Javier Tono showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Javier Tono made a huge save. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milagros Fraga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Javier Tono, 2-2. 79 minutes into the match, Vaqueteros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Javier Tono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fikret Uluğ in the 80th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute Fikret Uluğ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Fernández in the 85th minute of play. Vaqueteros FC were furious when Gustavo Blai was red carded, 87 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor.
