Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Niğdespor booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Beldad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Özer Akartürk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bahadırhan Rakim made in the 9th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Erim Sungurbay. Özer Akartürk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Cazalla in the 20th minute of the match. Jaime Cazalla scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Özer Akartürk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jaime Cazalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özer Akartürk having to interfere. Özer Akartürk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. A collision led to Niğdespor getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Sergo Randoja hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, Niğdespor's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Özer Akartürk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Francisco Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. Göktürk Özgiray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Erim Sungurbay fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Niğdespor's protests and gave Erim Sungurbay a yellow card for diving instead. After 54 played minutes Niğdespor got a freekick which was hit by Erim Sungurbay. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Göktürk Özgiray in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abdulmelik Özbir hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 65th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Beldad to maneuver through the defense. The Niğdespor fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Niğdespor's Göktürk Özgiray looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Maximiliano Escribano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Özer Akartürk made a huge save. 83 minutes into the match, Niğdespor's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Özer Akartürk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 played minutes Niğdespor got a freekick which was hit by Sergo Randoja. 94 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Özer Akartürk. Francisco Seco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. When the final whistle sounded Uruguay left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Niğdespor.
