In the 24th minute, Claudio Pizarro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Alianza Lima. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 29th minute, Lorenzo Yepes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Veto Agra took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Estebe Constante in the 34th minute of play. After 35 minutes El Salvador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Estebe Constante who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Veto Agra got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ricardo Zorita quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 36 minutes into the game, Deportivo Alianza Lima.'s Claudio Pizarro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The supporters of Deportivo Alianza Lima. booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentino Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Veto Agra made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5.

El Salvador's Abram Luque got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Veto Agra sped through El Salvador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. Veto Agra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deportivo Alianza Lima.'s Valdo Mas was substituted for Timeteo Bocos. 71 minutes into the game, Veto Agra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ricardo Zorita. Veto Agra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save El Salvador from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Veto Agra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo Alianza Lima.'s Claudio Pizarro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ricardo Zorita. That made the score 0-11 after 81 minutes of play. Estebe Constante took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-12. Estebe Constante scored 0-13 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Deportivo Alianza Lima.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
