Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Davide Bertolini took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Nedo Nadi sent off a good shot on target. San Nicolò Kings were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nildo Sena took the corner. Nildo Sena made a great header on San Nicolò Kings's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. When Davide Bertolini came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the San Nicolò Kings fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Davide Bertolini couldn't finish the play. Nedo Nadi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the game, Guillermo Mariano threw the ball into play from the sideline. San Nicolò Kings's Ernesto Tagliente quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nedo Nadi in the 16th minute. Nedo Nadi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Franco Catucci having to make a save. 23 minutes into the match, San Nicolò Kings's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Franco Catucci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nedo Nadi struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Nicolò Kings. After 30 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. 34 minutes into the match, Nedo Nadi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nedo Nadi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in San Nicolò Kings's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Catucci came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Franco Catucci. San Nicolò Kings's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Nedo Nadi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franco Catucci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernesto Tagliente hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franco Catucci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute Davide Bertolini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Venezuela! Venezuela:s Jonathan Ferrant showed great skill when he stopped Nildo Sena:s penalty. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Nedo Nadi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Nedo Nadi might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nedo Nadi ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Davide Bertolini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Davide Bertolini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davide Bertolini in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind San Nicolò Kings's goalkeeper Franco Catucci, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nedo Nadi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nedo Nadi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. San Nicolò Kings's Nedo Nadi managed to work through Venezuela's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Nedo Nadi dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 85th minute. The supporters of San Nicolò Kings booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nedo Nadi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 92 minutes into the match, Nedo Nadi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nedo Nadi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. San Nicolò Kings's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
