If Miguel Zuasnabar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 12th minute Miguel Zuasnabar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jax Williamson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Koby Wright kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sitthachat Jampeehom. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. Gavião Kyikatejê's Sitthachat Jampeehom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Gavião Kyikatejê from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the match, Gavião Kyikatejê's goalkeeper Sitthachat Jampeehom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rohan Watson. Canada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rohan Watson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute Miguel Zuasnabar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jax Williamson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miguel Zuasnabar to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Canada's goalkeeper Jax Williamson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Zuasnabar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theo Burton in the 75th minute of play forced Gavião Kyikatejê's goalkeeper Sitthachat Jampeehom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Theo Burton made a precise shot to the right of Sitthachat Jampeehom. Gavião Kyikatejê's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Gavião Kyikatejê's zone, Theo Burton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sitthachat Jampeehom came out of the goal and Theo Burton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Edwards in the 91st minute of play forced Gavião Kyikatejê's goalkeeper Sitthachat Jampeehom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sitthachat Jampeehom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luka Harris in the 93rd minute of play. There was no doubt that Canada were the better team. Canada's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
