Fırat Çakıroğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fırat Çakıroğlu in the 5th minute of play. Fırat Çakıroğlu struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Senator S.A.K. When Abuzer Sarıalp fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Senator S.A.K's protests and gave Abuzer Sarıalp a yellow card for diving instead. Abuzer Sarıalp hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Senator S.A.K's Fırat Çakıroğlu. But to his dismay, Fırat Çakıroğlu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Fırat Çakıroğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fırat Çakıroğlu in the 17th minute of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fırat Çakıroğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ziemowit Mis during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Ziemowit Mis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Senator S.A.K getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Alim Eslem hit a great ball. Senator S.A.K's Alim Eslem quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Juan Rubio, made in the 32nd minute of the game. 34 minutes into the match, Fırat Çakıroğlu notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 37 minutes into the match, Senator S.A.K's Fırat Çakıroğlu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fırat Çakıroğlu in the 39th minute of play. Aykan Babür showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Alcocer in the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fırat Çakıroğlu in the 45th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Ferrant's late challenge caught a Senator S.A.K's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Ferrant helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Senator S.A.K booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fırat Çakıroğlu made a kick off. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Fırat Çakıroğlu sent off a good shot on target. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Fırat Çakıroğlu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-4. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Senator S.A.K's Fırat Çakıroğlu got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After having played for 76 minutes, Fırat Çakıroğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Senator S.A.K's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fırat Çakıroğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Senator S.A.K's Fırat Çakıroğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 85 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. Fırat Çakıroğlu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 89th minute. Senator S.A.K's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Fırat Çakıroğlu scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 0-7. Fırat Çakıroğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Hugo Ferrant kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Fırat Çakıroğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Senator S.A.K played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
