An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Albohm in the 17th minute of play forced Steaua Bucuresti's goalkeeper Radu Isaicu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurel Pandrea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Emanuel Vall made a huge save. Radu Isaicu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Landolfo Andres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Grängesberg FK getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Fabian Ekrot hit a great ball. The supporters of Steaua Bucuresti booed when Grängesberg FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Knut Lindberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferdinand Vasiliu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Emanuel Vall made a huge save. Emanuel Vall made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Aurel Pandrea sent off a good shot on target. Gheorghe Cunea received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Grängesberg FK's Emanuel Vall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Grängesberg FK from getting a goal against them. 31 minutes into the match, Grängesberg FK's goalkeeper Emanuel Vall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Traian Constantinescu. Aron Ciorăscu's late challenge caught a Grängesberg FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aron Ciorăscu helped the player get up and apologised. Aron Ciorăscu hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henrik Albohm to make the kick off. Aron Ciorăscu scored 4-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emanuel Vall, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emanuel Vall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aron Ciorăscu, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Emanuel Vall dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. There was no doubt that Steaua Bucuresti were the better team. Steaua Bucuresti's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
