Elivélton Tavares made a great header on Balus Treter's corner, it was just that Orgullo's Artzai Tarin managed to reach the ball for a save. Gottlieb Hammer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artzai Tarin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Orgullo's Manole Cristoiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karsten Zielinski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After having played for 84 minutes, Manole Cristoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orgullo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manole Cristoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Manole Cristoiu came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Orgullo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manole Cristoiu couldn't finish the play. The Orgullo support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
