When Stefan Halbich came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the SC Night Cats fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Halbich couldn't finish the play. Erkan Kempkes's late challenge caught a Cañamero C.F.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erkan Kempkes helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 minutes, Manolito Appe made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. SC Night Cats's Sepp Meier tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Cañamero C.F. fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Cañamero C.F.'s Manolito Appe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Freddi Butenschön hit a great ball. Stefan Halbich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Manolito Appe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sepp Meier was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. In the 62ndth minute of the game Manolito Appe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Night Cats's Sepp Meier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, SC Night Cats's Sepp Meier got control of the ball when Manolito Appe tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the SC Night Cats defense, Manolito Appe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sepp Meier. The SC Night Cats fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sepp Meier should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, SC Night Cats's Freddi Butenschön got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 81st minute Manolito Appe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sepp Meier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cañamero C.F. made a substitution. Teodoro Grau replaced Velasco Marcilla. Cañamero C.F.'s Rainer Bonhof was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sepp Meier in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Urtungo Santander in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sepp Meier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SC Night Cats were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after Cañamero C.F.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Berthold Wüsthoff took the corner. Berthold Wüsthoff made a great header on SC Night Cats's corner, it was just that Cañamero C.F.'s Misael Solera managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Cañamero C.F. booed when SC Night Cats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lukas Mai didn't get a good kick on the ball.
