The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Ingvar Vallin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 1-0. When Asdrubal Jubera came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Hub Yap Para kap fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Asdrubal Jubera couldn't finish the play. Ingvar Vallin struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hub Yap Para kap. Ingvar Vallin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ingvar Vallin's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ingvar Vallin in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute Ingvar Vallin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Ingvar Vallin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Hub Yap Para kap's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Peter Schmeichel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ingvar Vallin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. When Hub Yap Para kap's Ingvar Vallin in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. 36 minutes into the game, Ingvar Vallin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Ingvar Vallin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Ingvar Vallin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Ingvar Vallin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Vallin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingvar Vallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Venezuela's Jose Correa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bogdan Podwojski, made in the 56th minute of the game. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ingvar Vallin took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ingvar Vallin in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 66th minute Ingvar Vallin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ingvar Vallin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ingvar Vallin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Vallin in the 76th minute of the match. Marciano Santikurtz got a throw-in 78 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ingvar Vallin. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Ingvar Vallin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hub Yap Para kap's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingvar Vallin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ingvar Vallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hub Yap Para kap had played much better football throughout.
