An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Milagros Fraga got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jaizki Espuga tried in the 94th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Paulo Duarte a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 0-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peru had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
