Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daan Leers, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 重庆1997联队's Pang Bang Xun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute of play. Despite this Pang Bang Xun quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daan Leers to strike the kick off in the second half. Daan Leers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Pang Bang Xun made a huge save. In the 59th minute, Qiu Yao Cheng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pang Bang Xun was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Daniel Zorita. 75 minutes into the match, 重庆1997联队's Daan Leers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Pang Bang Xun in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pang Bang Xun. That made the score 1-2 after 84 minutes of play. Pang Bang Xun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 88th minute. Agustín Saelices struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Pang Bang Xun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daan Leers in the 96th minute of play.
