Gunnar Björkqvist's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gunnar Björkqvist helped the player get up and apologised. Honduras's Xavier Costa was substituted for Moises Tafalla. After 43 played minutes Blue Mountain Goats got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Björkqvist. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Evert Holm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Evert Holm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Blue Mountain Goats's Ernst Stål got a free kick in the 71st minute. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Evert Holm came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lautaro Navarro could save by the left post. 81 minutes into the game, Vincent Blom was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blue Mountain Goats's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. Vincent Blom kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. When Börge Karlsson came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Blue Mountain Goats fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Börge Karlsson couldn't finish the play. When Vincent Blom was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 84 minutes had been played. Vincent Blom hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Bo Rosen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 86th minute of the match. Edmundo Espiga scored 2-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bo Rosen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Blue Mountain Goats's Börge Karlsson got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Börge Karlsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Blue Mountain Goats players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Honduras.
