Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Aurelio Garofalo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After 10 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. Aurelio Garofalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Andino scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aurelio Garofalo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 21 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Aurelio Garofalo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 28 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurelio Garofalo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 37 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aurelio Garofalo. Vaffancalcio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vaffancalcio's goalkeeper Aurelio Garofalo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davide Vasco in the 45th minute of play. After having played for 47 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Davide Vasco made the kick off in the second half. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Davide Vasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vaffancalcio's supporters rose to their feet, but Davide Vasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66th play minute Daniel Zorita came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Aurelio Garofalo. 0-7. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aurelio Garofalo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. After 70 minutes, Davide Petrucci mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vaffancalcio and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes Vaffancalcio got a freekick which was hit by Davide Petrucci. 73 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aurelio Garofalo. Vaffancalcio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agustín Saelices was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Daniel Zorita in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aurelio Garofalo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Aurelio Garofalo made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aurelio Garofalo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute of play forced Vaffancalcio's goalkeeper Aurelio Garofalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Aurelio Garofalo in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davide Vasco in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aurelio Garofalo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. In the 95th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ecuador played a much better game than Vaffancalcio and deserved their victory. The Vaffancalcio players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
