Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Trey Echols started the match with the kick off. Guilherme Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 5th minute of play. Peter Hood charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peter Hood the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had been going on for 8 minutes, Mexico's Joel Gaona got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Guilherme Veiga. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Guilherme Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 13th minute of play. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Gaona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guilherme Veiga having to make a save. In the 32nd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guilherme Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Joel Gaona fired a really elegant long shot, but Guilherme Veiga threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trey Echols in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Felix Luque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 played minutes, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Romeo Zeigler shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dante Lacasa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Racing Miami Futbol Club reached it. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Racing Miami Futbol Club made a substitution. Rodney Hagen replaced Trey Echols. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Anton Swanson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Chance Adams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guilherme Veiga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 62nd minute of the match. After 65 played minutes Racing Miami Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Peter Hood. Guilherme Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute Chance Adams shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Mexico booed when Racing Miami Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexis Hoover didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mexico were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Racing Miami Futbol Club for a fine match.
