An unexpectedly hard shot by Cirilo Ritchie in the 15th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Cirilo Ritchie put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jacobo Nores. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Cirilo Ritchie sped through Paraguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. Cirilo Ritchie scored 0-5 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacobo Nores, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cirilo Ritchie made a kick off. Cirilo Ritchie scored 0-6 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacobo Nores, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cirilo Ritchie might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Senon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. The audience was convinced that Felipe Senon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. 93 minutes into the game, Felipe Senon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jacobo Nores. Felipe Senon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-11. Felipe Senon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Arrecifes left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Paraguay.
