Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Berganza kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Barrios to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Walter Mutuku. In the 10th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Githinji Muhoho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 minutes of play, Panama's Abraham Alguacil made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tony Githinji Muhoho was left in no man's land by his defense there! 36 minutes into the match, Walter Mutuku dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla, 1-1. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Alex Cambeiro hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the game, Walter Mutuku was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rothwell Park's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. In the 46th match minute, Rothwell Park was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Mutuku to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Walter Mutuku made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Panama's Aaron Barrios got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 80th minute, Abraham Alguacil made a precise shot to the right of Tony Githinji Muhoho. Rothwell Park's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 82nd minute, Teófilo Vilanova hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panama's Tomas Berganza got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miguel Miralles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tony Githinji Muhoho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. William Mohamed received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
