If Edward Mcdonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute of the match, Cassius Byrne got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tobias Elizardo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Sarmiento de Resistencia's Tobias Elizardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 16th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Sarmiento de Resistencia's goalkeeper Tobias Elizardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zach Harrison. In the 23rd minute Henning Martinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Man Tas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with Tobias Elizardo in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. USA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cassius Byrne in the 30th minute. The corner ended in Diego Bradley almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sarmiento de Resistencia's Tobias Elizardo did a great save. Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Tobias Elizardo made a huge save. 37 minutes into the match, Man Tas notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of USA's Marco Day. Marco Day was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 41 minutes into the match, USA's Edward Mcdonald sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tobias Elizardo narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Sarmiento de Resistencia's Alex Herrero was substituted for Man Tas. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cassius Byrne was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Herrero got free with Marco Day in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bogumil Spychalski made a great header on Sarmiento de Resistencia's corner, it was just that USA's Marco Day managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience cheered loudly when Bogumil Spychalski's long shot in the 55th minute became 0-3 when the ball went to the left of and passed Marco Day. Sarmiento de Resistencia's Tobias Elizardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 61st minute of play. Tobias Elizardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zach Harrison in the 62nd minute of play. Alex Herrero hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 83rd match minute, Sarmiento de Resistencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zinon Kazakopoulos to maneuver through the defense. In the 92ndth minute of the game Sam Campbell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarmiento de Resistencia's Tobias Elizardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 95th minute Sam Campbell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Elizardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobias Elizardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khalid Parry, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see USA lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
