Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertrán Olguín in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Vaffancalcio booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Vaffancalcio's Bertrán Olguín nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 29th minute, Everardo Cugat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lluis Companys kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Vaffancalcio's Bertrán Olguín. But to his dismay, Bertrán Olguín quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Hesse in the 41st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Hesse, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Kurt Hesse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Dennis Carrea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After 63 minutes Vaffancalcio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Tomas Illescas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dennis Carrea quite easily take care of the ball. In the 65th minute Alberto Di Clemente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Di Clemente didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 65th minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Alberto Di Clemente ran dejectedly back to his position. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gualterio Felo during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Vaffancalcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualterio Felo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Liviu Răducan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alberto Di Clemente received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Alberto Di Clemente slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 90th minute. If Bertrán Olguín had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Di Clemente charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Di Clemente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alberto Di Clemente hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
