Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Armando Santotis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Armando Santotis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Chilcano's Armando Santotis. But to his dismay, Armando Santotis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Armando Santotis took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Modesto Pita charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Modesto Pita the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 29th minute. Modesto Pita kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 34th play minute Armando Santotis came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 5-0. Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 43rd minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Armando Santotis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Armando Santotis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Armando Santotis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Sporting Chilcano's Lizardi Montanez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 55th minute of play. Lizardi Montanez came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. But to his dismay, Patricio Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Lizardi Montanez in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Sporting Chilcano booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sporting Chilcano made a substitution. Jacinto Galguera replaced Paul Trielles. The audience held their breath when Gilesindo Pastrana in the 65th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Jonathan Ferrant's left hand side. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute Armando Santotis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Heli Monsalve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Armando Santotis took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-2. Sporting Chilcano walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
