Petrică Ştefoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 21st minute of play. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Petrică Ştefoi made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petrică Ştefoi saved Club Atletico Juanita from getting behind. 46 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Club Atletico Juanita's Epifanio Orlan fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. A collision led to Club Atletico Juanita getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Cristian Cordeiro hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 66th minute, Epifanio Orlan made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Epifanio Orlans short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 82nd minute, Jakub Jaszcz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Epifanio Orlan succeeded in the game's 93rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-5.
