The audience was convinced that Felix Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Borys Witek was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. After 59 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Remme in the 61st minute of play. Emanuel Markham scored 3-2 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Borys Witek having to interfere. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Markham in the 74th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Markham's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Kai Østbye charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kai Østbye the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 79 played minutes Brufoss IL got a freekick which was hit by Kai Østbye. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Markham in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 85th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Witek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Borys Witek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agustín Saelices went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Are Høiby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
