AF GuiFiguer OUT!!'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jardel Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind AF GuiFiguer OUT!!'s goalkeeper Félix Mielle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Félix Mielle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because AF GuiFiguer OUT!! had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
