AC Collins's Donato Foddis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, AC Collins's Pekko Rino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mel Önen in the 9th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as AC Collins's Pekko Rino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-1 after 11 minutes of play. 13 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Pekko Rino came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donato Foddis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 22nd match minute, AC Collins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zacarias Theodore to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes in the game Primitivo Andino did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Agustín Saelices. The supporters of Ecuador booed when AC Collins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pekko Rino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donato Foddis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Di Toma, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mel Önen went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mel Önen in the 73rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Didi Valletta kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donato Foddis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Di Toma in the 86th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Donato Foddis made a huge save. Fulvio Oriali's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fulvio Oriali helped the player get up and apologised. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mel Önen, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Ecuador played a much better game than AC Collins and deserved their victory. The AC Collins players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
