Celtic de Sarda's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Rick Brearley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Celtic de Sarda's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Mexico's Felix Luque to fire away a dangerous shot which Rick Brearley despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henrik Etoo during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Celtic de Sarda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrik Etoo to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Celtic de Sarda's goalkeeper Rick Brearley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luca Zorita. 20 minutes into the match, Celtic de Sarda's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Rick Brearley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Austin Mills shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Celtic de Sarda's Rick Brearley got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. A very nice done corner allowed Lautaro Mancebo to score against Rick Brearley in Celtic de Sarda's goal. 1-0 after 38 minutes. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rick Brearley having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Austin Mills came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Jonathan Stamnes made the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Austin Mills in the 51st minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Austin Mills, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. It was Jonathan Stamnes who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Jonathan Stamnes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 77th minute of play forced Celtic de Sarda's goalkeeper Rick Brearley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rick Brearley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 81st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrik Etoo got free with Dante Lacasa in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rick Brearley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mexico were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Celtic de Sarda for a fine match.
