In the 15th minute, Samuel Melo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Francisco da Cunha sent off a good shot on target. Felipe Ros kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Emerson Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 35th minute of play. Francisco da Cunha's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco da Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. Francisco da Cunha hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Alex Cambeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Hamilton Luis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 played minutes Jumeuc Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Hamilton Luis. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Emerson Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 74th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco da Cunha in the 81st minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Saldanha came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falcão Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Miralles hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Panama's zone, Francisco da Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal and Francisco da Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Falcão Soeiro. But to his dismay, Falcão Soeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
