After 24 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Barrios. The audience was convinced that Fırat Çakıroğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Cotilla was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. After 36 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Matthew Garrido. After a rather tough play, Panama's Felipe Ros got a free kick in the 37th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Berganza to make the kick off. Matthew Garrido got a throw-in 58 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Abraham Alguacil. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fırat Çakıroğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Perico Ferrer kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Aykan Babür made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 62nd minute of play. Aykan Babür showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute, Fırat Çakıroğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Panama! Panama:s Marcos Cotilla showed great skill when he stopped Alim Eslem:s penalty. 82 minutes into the match, Alim Eslem notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 85 minutes play.
