David Zamfirescu went to the cornerflag to take it. 11 minutes into the game, Purcaresti CSS's Nistor Anton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Nistor Antons short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Marcos Cotilla to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pavel Mazăre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Iustin Radovan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. Nistor Anton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Nistor Anton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Purcaresti CSS's Ioan Bornescu. But to his dismay, Ioan Bornescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. A collision led to Purcaresti CSS getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ferdinand Arghiroiu hit a great ball. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

51 minutes into the match, Iustin Radovan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iustin Radovan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. With a little luck, Purcaresti CSS's Cătălin Trică got control of the ball when Abraham Alguacil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustin Radovan in the 56th minute of play. After 56 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cambeiro. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Mazăre in the 58th minute of the match. Cătălin Trică showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 59th minute of the match. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nistor Anton in the 72nd minute of play. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Tomas Berganza hit a great ball. The supporters of Purcaresti CSS booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Șerbulea struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Purcaresti CSS. Andrei Dumitrache hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Cătălin Trică showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute, Emanuel Șerbulea made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. In the 92nd minute, Pavel Mazăre left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Purcaresti CSS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. When Iustin Radovan fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Purcaresti CSS's protests and gave Iustin Radovan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Purcaresti CSS getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Iustin Radovan hit a great ball.
