Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Uruguay's Melquiades Maura threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maximiliano Escribano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dalmacio Iago's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Melquiades Maura came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla. But to his dismay, Jaime Cazalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Melquiades Maura made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute, Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Melquiades Maura. Melquiades Maura yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dalmacio Iago made a kick off. Chuscha FC - Ψ -'s Melquiades Maura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 57th minute of play. Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Chuscha FC - Ψ - defense, Maximiliano Escribano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Melquiades Maura. The Chuscha FC - Ψ - fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melquiades Maura should have stopped the shot. Uruguay walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
