In the 21st minute Co Bayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alijilán returns's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 33 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Wang Cheng Xiang came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Wang Cheng Xiang tried to sneak it across the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Wang Cheng Xiang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wang Cheng Xiang, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wang Cheng Xiang in the 59th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Victor Erauso made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Victor Erauso in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victor Erauso. Victor Erauso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Co Bayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Co Bayo in the 69th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Gaute kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Alijilán returns's Sly Noble was substituted for Kieth Van Damme. In the 71st match minute, Alijilán returns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Gaute to maneuver through the defense. In the 75thth minute of the game Wang Cheng Xiang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Antonio Arias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 87th minute. When Cipriano Tavio came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Alijilán returns fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Tavio couldn't finish the play. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Erauso having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Co Bayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aytuğ Aral in the 96th minute of play.
