Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Chelsea Football Club's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Efren came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 7th match minute, Chelsea Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Fagildo to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivan Txeru went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valentin Efren having to make a save. In the 17th minute, David Sein left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chelsea Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 22nd minute of the game Manuel Henry made a throw-in which Flavio Gelacio played forward. After 30 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. When Camilo Gasteiz fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chelsea Football Club's protests and gave Camilo Gasteiz a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Chelsea Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gasteiz. After having played for 35 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chelsea Football Club's Valentin Efren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 37th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Manuel Henry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivan Txeru was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivan Txeru in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Chelsea Football Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Patricio Costa scored to the left of an out of position Valentin Efren, making the score, 2-2. Camilo Gasteiz kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Chelsea Football Club defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valentin Efren. The Chelsea Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valentin Efren should have stopped the shot. 72 minutes into the game, Chelsea Football Club's Augusto Hotz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. In the 75th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Efren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Efren having to interfere. Manuel Henry made in the 92nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which David Sein however managed to control. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play.
