The audience thought a goal was coming when Bengt-Rune Widberg got free with Roque Gabon in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iruinea Llordes in the 23rd minute of play forced Faro querandi's goalkeeper Roque Gabon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iruinea Llordes scored 2-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roque Gabon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bengt-Rune Widberg in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roque Gabon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roque Gabon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bengt-Rune Widberg in the 44th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bengt-Rune Widberg to strike the kick off in the second half. If Iruinea Llordes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Faro querandi booed when Fohat Neyen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iruinea Llordes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faro querandi:s Roque Gabon showed great skill when he stopped Iruinea Llordes:s penalty. 93 minutes into the match, Faro querandi's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Rune Widberg came free, but Roque Gabon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Faro querandi getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Zeledon Garci hit a great ball. Roque Gabon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Schnell, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Fohat Neyen's zone, Felipe Vedillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iraido Bertiz came out of the goal and Felipe Vedillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that Fohat Neyen were the better team. Fohat Neyen's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
