Camilo Freixa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Rossetti in the 4th minute of play. When Fiume Veneto's Adriano Sciotto in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bolivia's goalie prevented a goal. After 11 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Fontirroig. In the 13th minute, Claudio Papetti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee felt a red card was in order, 16 minutes into the game, when Benito Madrid put in a rough tackle. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bolivia! After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Edmondo Urbani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fiume Veneto's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmondo Urbani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camilo Freixa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfonso de la Cruz got free with Camillo Malatesta in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eduardo Fontirroig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Malatesta having to interfere. When Edmondo Urbani came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Fiume Veneto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmondo Urbani couldn't finish the play. After 36 played minutes Fiume Veneto got a freekick which was hit by Ferruccio Imperatore. In the 47th minute, Julio Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Gallo hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

Eduardo Fontirroig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Malatesta having to interfere. Bolivia's Julio Chicote got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Ferrant struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Camillo Malatesta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolivia. In the 60th minute, Edmondo Urbani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bolivia's Alfonso de la Cruz got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eduardo Fontirroig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Camillo Malatesta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredo Ferrant charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredo Ferrant the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alfredo Ferrant hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The supporters of Fiume Veneto booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bolivia's Camilo Freixa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmondo Urbani in the 75th minute of play. After having played for 77 minutes, Alfredo Ferrant managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolivia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Ferrant was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th match minute, Fiume Veneto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferruccio Imperatore to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Claudio Papetti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfonso de la Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Bolivia's zone, Edmondo Urbani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Freixa came out of the goal and Edmondo Urbani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Eduardo Fontirroig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adriano Sciotto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Camilo Freixa made a huge save. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
