Davide Di Tommaso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Alexander Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Richard Laws got a free kick in the 10th minute. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Denis Gergori managed to get in a good position for a shot. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Gergori was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In the 23rd minute, Davide Di Tommaso fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Benito Sanz, passed just outside the right post. Leonardo Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davide Di Tommaso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 minutes, Leonardo Penha made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 37 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonardo Penha. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Leonardo Penha tried to sneak it across the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Lautaro Puig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelo Bertoni. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Puig was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonardo Penha in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Axel Tasis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonardo Penha went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. Angelo Bertoni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Daniel Olejarz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Richard Laws got a free kick in the 65th minute. The audience was convinced that Leonardo Penha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 69th minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Leonardo Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Olejarz in the 78th minute of play. Leonardo Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 81st minute of play forced ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's goalkeeper Angelo Bertoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd match minute, ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Vani to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the game, ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Leonardo Penha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. After 86 minutes, Alan Moruga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Penha in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Hugo Ferrant got a free kick in the 90th minute. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
