Emanuel Soned charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emanuel Soned the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd minute, Emanuel Soned hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 5th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Magnus Löfdahl was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Aan Aae's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Aan Aae sent off a good shot on target. Magnus Löfdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Magnus Löfdahl. Magnus Löfdahl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play forced Electric Sharks's goalkeeper Magnus Löfdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Electric Sharks's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Agustín Saelices made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Electric Sharks's Magnus Löfdahl managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 32nd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. 37 minutes into the game, Reine Åberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Electric Sharks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. A collision led to Electric Sharks getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Reine Åberg hit a great ball. In the 39th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Electric Sharks's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Magnus Löfdahl despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magnus Löfdahl having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Petersson in the 50th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Magnus Löfdahl made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fred Petersson in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Petersson in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, Electric Sharks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herbert Ekblom to maneuver through the defense. Herbert Ekblom hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 80 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Petersson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Gustafsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Magnus Löfdahl was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Magnus Löfdahl to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Electric Sharks throughout the match.
