The supporters of Venezuela booed when C. S. D. Pueyrredón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Saturnin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Romulo Matia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by C. S. D. Pueyrredón's Teobaldo Rosario. But to his dismay, Teobaldo Rosario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Martin Cordeal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by C. S. D. Pueyrredón's Romulo Matia. But to his dismay, Romulo Matia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 40 minutes into the game, C. S. D. Pueyrredón's Teobaldo Rosario nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Rosario in the 45th minute of play. C. S. D. Pueyrredón were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Constantino Ermano took the corner. C. S. D. Pueyrredón's Teobaldo Rosario was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Teobaldo Rosario made the kick off in the second half. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teobaldo Rosario, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 58th minute, Teobaldo Rosario left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. S. D. Pueyrredón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Rosario in the 60th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by C. S. D. Pueyrredón's Romulo Matia. But to his dismay, Romulo Matia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Teobaldo Rosario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C. S. D. Pueyrredón made a substitution. Roch Siekierka replaced Romulo Matia. Teobaldo Rosario might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teobaldo Rosario ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Halil İbrahim Yeltekin managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. S. D. Pueyrredón's supporters rose to their feet, but Halil İbrahim Yeltekin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Martin Cordeal in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Salvador Gisbert charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salvador Gisbert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Salvador Gisbert hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the match, C. S. D. Pueyrredón's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Martin Cordeal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Halil İbrahim Yeltekin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by C. S. D. Pueyrredón's Godofredo Reno. But to his dismay, Godofredo Reno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. C. S. D. Pueyrredón had played much better football throughout.
