The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to SALİDANİ getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Udung Sofyan hit a great ball. Osman Klaas hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Ali Erdem Serdengeçti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by SALİDANİ's Suavi Baldemir. But to his dismay, Suavi Baldemir quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Erdem Serdengeçti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ali Erdem Serdengeçti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. 48 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Resulhan Akçalı. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Mexico booed when SALİDANİ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osman Klaas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ali Erdem Serdengeçti could save by the left post. 56 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Paco Echavarri came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, SALİDANİ's Paco Echavarri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in SALİDANİ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 61 minutes, Mexico's Joel Gaona got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ali Erdem Serdengeçti. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Erdem Serdengeçti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Erdem Serdengeçti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 84th minute of play. Ali Erdem Serdengeçti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Ali Erdem Serdengeçti despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ali Erdem Serdengeçti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Rouco, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ali Erdem Serdengeçti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 97 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mexico walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
