With a couple of smart ball manuevers Linus Fredriksson in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. In the 36thth minute of the game Linus Fredriksson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reynaldo Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Linus Fredriksson made the kick off in the second half. Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Marlin FC from getting a goal against them. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Marlin FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The supporters of Marlin FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Juan Carlos Alvarez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Juan Carlos Alvarez made a huge save. In the 83rd minute, Luca Rouco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Juan Carlos Alvarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, Marlin FC's Ismael Iglesias tried to score from far away in the 91st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 93rd minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Marlin FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Mexico for much of the match.
