When Mario Fernandino fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bolivia's protests and gave Mario Fernandino a yellow card for diving instead. There was no doubt that Bolivia were the better team. Bolivia's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
