Paraguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Corte di Camasco's Evert Helander. But to his dismay, Evert Helander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Jaime Pardo hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, Mahir Akgün got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Di Palma having to interfere. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mahir Akgün, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Mahir Akgün kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. Mahir Akgün might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mahir Akgün ran back to his position shaking his head. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldo Carta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Evert Helander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 minutes of play, Corte di Camasco's Evert Helander made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Nores was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jaime Pardo in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Claudio Di Palma, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Aldo Carta was extremely unlucky when he, in the 52nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Mahir Akgün sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jacobo Nores made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Mahir Akgün sent off a good shot on target. Mahir Akgün might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mahir Akgün ran back to his position shaking his head. 61 minutes into the match, Corte di Camasco's Evert Helander sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jacobo Nores made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evert Helander in the 62nd minute. Evert Helander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacobo Nores was a little too slow when Adriano Trivelli got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 0-6. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aldo Carta in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oscar Barbereau kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Paraguay's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Pardo in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute, Corte di Camasco's Evert Helander ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. A collision led to Corte di Camasco getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Adriano Trivelli hit a great ball. Alan Campos's late challenge caught a Corte di Camasco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alan Campos helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Alan Campos. 90 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adriano Trivelli. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Jacobo Nores successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano Trivelli in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind.
