Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. In the 3rd minute, Mexico's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Albert Henry fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mattias Sawyer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 8th minute of the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Luca Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute of the match Freddie Gettins shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 15th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Sawyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mattias Sawyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Albert Henry hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Mattias Sawyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mattias Sawyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Memphis Grizzlies booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Memphis Grizzlies's Mattias Sawyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 39th minute of play. When Mexico's Alberto Tafalla, in the 39th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. 41 minutes into the match, Memphis Grizzlies's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Mattias Sawyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Memphis Grizzlies's Romeo Crocker got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 54th minute of play forced Memphis Grizzlies's goalkeeper Mattias Sawyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Memphis Grizzlies's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Mattias Sawyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Memphis Grizzlies's Mattias Sawyer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Memphis Grizzlies from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tafalla in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mattias Sawyer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Spike Bond scored 1-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Memphis Grizzlies made a substitution. Brian Kay replaced Brandon Branson. Memphis Grizzlies's Sam Bates was substituted for Erling Haaland. Memphis Grizzlies's Samuil Saldzhiev was substituted for Albert Henry. With a little luck, Memphis Grizzlies's Mattias Sawyer got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mattias Sawyer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 79th minute. A collision led to Memphis Grizzlies getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Romeo Crocker hit a great ball. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mattias Sawyer could save by the left post. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sam Bates in the 85th minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sam Bates, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sam Bates's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. After 94 minutes of play, Memphis Grizzlies's Sam Bates made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there!
